Checking a certificate.

A TIB-backed certificate is meant to be checked, not just trusted on sight. Enter the certificate ID printed on the certificate to see what it records and whether it is still valid.

The ID starts SEM- followed by ten letters and numbers. You can leave out the SEM- and it does not matter whether you use capitals.

What a certificate records

Every TIB-backed certificate carries its own unique certificate ID, and is tied to:

  • » The specific course and its dates, including whether it was delivered face-to-face.
  • » The approved provider that ran it.
  • » The registered trainer who delivered and assessed it.
  • » Its current status — valid, expired, or revoked.

What this check tells you

The check is made against our records, not against the document, so an altered or forged certificate will not verify. It shows only what is needed to confirm the certificate — no contact details, booking or payment information.
